My big picture goals for real estate is long term rental properties and flips.

My end goal is to have a passive income stream that will, one day, become big enough to where it can cover my expenses entirely.

If @Shirley Rozenshteyn is right about Glastonbury, maybe buy the worst house on the best block, and by the time you leave the built up equity will help you succeed in you RE goals, instead of renting.

In the end of the day one obviously needs to self-regulate their goals, intentions, etc.
