What I meant was - just because you are offering to take the property essentially 'As-Is', does not mean that you cannot have an inspection done.

You're looking at doing 2 different things here.A 1031 exchange is meant for selling a property, and replacing it with a like-kind property (i.e. selling a rental property, and rolling the profits into another rental property).Flipping houses is a completely different investing strategy, with it's own set of tax implications.
