Prices in the city are out of control, though there may be some good investment opportunities uptown where rent prices are out-pacing sales prices.... at least for now.My company specializes in the upper Manhattan market for rentals, but we do have full access to sales listings throughout the city of course, and have done deals in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.

In commercial it's based on NOI, so you have the control of your assets value instead of your neighbors. 

As others have stated already I would call the asset manager for the property as they are in control of this entire bidding process.

If you can't keep control of your personal finances, you are highly unlikely to succeed in real estate investing.
