My question is whether it’s a bad idea to put 20% down and continue renting my own place because of the convenience factors including being able to walk to work (and I work long/late hours).

This space already has windows and I have no intention of adding closets.

I know this, and I know exactly why this is true, and last but not least, my fiftieth birthday is this year.Tell that to myself at twenty-two?

I am in a position where my rent will be increased significantly soon, and I was making plans to buy a home in the next 2-3 years already.  

I'm trying to develop my first rv park project in Hill county, Tx and I just drove by all of the parks in the county.

I honestly should have more money saved up considering my years of working full-time, however younger financial mistakes have been a painful lesson and I regret not purchasing a property sooner/younger.My most important and immediate goal right now is to purchase a property.I am in (what I perceive to be) a relatively high cost real estate area. 

(I also would put areas of east Dayton I would put in that same category.)As far as Old North Dayton goes, I've spent a fair amount of time in this area over the last few months (including after my last comment in this post), and I certainly wouldn't lump it in with most of the west side.

I had bought three houses within a few months and I would buy two more a year later.

There were on sale and I didn't have to pay for sales tax in Portland OR.
