I see many sites with similar products priced way different.

The house itself may be more expensive to build as you're buying/building a one off house and that almost always costs more..than buying from a production builder who may build 1000s of the same floorplan and has purchasing power with suppliers to buy materials for 1000s of houses.  

I personally like the slow acclimation period as a result of house hacking, you get to gain landlord experience while having your mortgage paid for. 

What do others do during their time in-between deals to be productive? 

Basically just tell the seller with the eviction moratorium and slow moving courts, this tenant could be there a long time.

I also learned a ton on the handy side and have a slow to react personality.
