Account Closed,Get with your attorney and see there are any legal options - perhaps misrepresentation, or some other other options outlined in the local standard contracts, in addition to complaints filed with the professional commissions, etc.If you saw it once in "showing" condition, and later saw it a shambles, the seller should bear some responsibility for their own fault.

But when your option is between your capital going towards borrowing something vs. buying something that will be increasing in value down the road (hopefully), it seems more logical to go for the buy (in my opinion).In the scenario you outlined, I would do the math.
