After you do this, I'd go to an attorney,  and have them write a very aggressive letter to the owner, stating consequences and actions that will be taken.

I believe storage fees can only be charged if the heirs of the items have been notified in writing and then the fees cannot be retroactive prior to the date of the letter, Like Jeff Copeland outlined.
