I have Charlotte Water investigating to hopefully forgive the high bill.

Most folks I know that do this have a trusted title company that they are loyal customers of that will pull title for them ahead of time, or they know how to investigate title on their own ahead of time as Jay mentioned ... then there are those that don't know that and find out the hard way as mentioned above.

Investigate topics such as business law which encompass the formation of an entity you may decide to operate within, landlord specific laws and guidelines, building permit requirements, lender requirements and the cost of money to name a few.

I've been concentrating in North Charleston, but recently I've been investigating, Hanahan, Goose Creek, and Summerville.  

How should I proceed with investigating more about private road maintenance ?

It's possible it might be suitable for a landlord investor too - but either way I won't be holding it myself.I'll checkout the CRS system - not sure how to get it to pull comps yet, but I'll investigate - thanks for the suggestion.

We are where we need to be financially to take the leap so yesterday I began investigating the ownership of the house.

In investigating and executing on project one, and now project two, we are curious about how to turn this into either a side business that helps make us some additional short term lumpy revenue as well as long term rental revenue, depending on the property, geography, and demographic.  

I hope you really took the time to investigate and got tons of references on the new PM.Did you not have a contract?
