More likely from a Licensed Real Estate Agent, presumably one with some knowledge of the market in that neighborhood.

There is an assumption (however unfair) that the real estate agent(s) has an unfiar advantage over the average consumer simply by knowledge, training and exposure to information.

Dont base your decision on their knowledge or reputation you may have heard of.

I have purchased property for investment before and feel fairly knowledgeable about the ins and outs.

You'll find that successful real estate investors do not make much money off of their socioeconomic peers, other successful people, higher profits will generally come from those who have lesser knowledge and resources than the investor!
