make sure you do research but make sure you apply it too, no point in doing the work to not gain the reward

Sure thing, but with more risk comes greater reward. 

What did you, the renter, risk that deserves reward?

My Marriott rewards rate for the same nights was over $300, so yes the $250 rate is a discounted rate. 

@Kelly Olson well we spent a lot of time and mental energy picking what we felt were the highest reward lowest risk combinations we could find.

You will find it very rewarding and a lot of work mixed with a lot of fun.

However if you know what you are doing it can be rewarding.

Long distance investing has its challenges but also it's rewards if you're in the right market.
