That is where I live/work and I make regular weekly trips to downtown Portland to meet up with friends socially.

My lease automatically goes month to month.

The only way I'm wholesaling something is if it requires financing I don't have, it's logistically too difficult for me to rent or flip, or it's not a good enough deal to meet my requirements.

@Karen Rittenhouse, Yes calling Craigslist is a great way to meet Wholesalers, LOLIt is so rare that when I call Craigslist listings that I actually get a REAL homeowner.

I've been listening to plenty of Bigger Pockets podcast and reading a lot of real estate books, all of which have stated or written, "attend REIA meetings or become active in your local REIA".  

I mean that especially in the beginning you have a lot of legwork to do and a lot of people to meet and talk with.
