many builders do this  build a home get nice equity live there 2 years then sell and pocket the 500K tax free for life.. 

However, they have been around for 30 yrs and are former builders as well and more importantly are transparent.As far as free advice goes, we never charge for an initial consultation BUT we receive no remuneration until we are in closing so there is a limit of speaking to folks who are just thinking of getting into the biz.

Being able to recognize value is the most important and it's a confidence builder as you become more competent in the market you're looking to invest.

I remember a similar housing market back in 05', where local builders were clambering to keep up with used housing sales.
