I've been doing some tax and retirement planning, and when I heard about this, I jumped at the chance to get it!

If you are going to use a retirement fund to invest in passive real estate deals using leverage, don't use a self directed IRA.  

Yet I think this my retirement and who cares like I care about that.

My question why did you decide to either cash out your retirement investments (and pay the taxes) or, moved them to a solo 401k and/or SD Roth IRA?

People have been been coming to Fl for years to retire and we are on the verge of havng what is considered the last of the baby boom gen retiring .. so I forsee a huge amount of people comming here soon the retire .. of course its not the onoy place people retire to ..

Pierre it depends on what your goals are.Do you want to eventually quit your job and do real estate full time OR do you enjoy your job and this is a retirement play with hopefully rent increases over time and principal build up?
