If you have $4 Million in an umbrella, your pretty much covered (however if your worth $20 Million I might change that answer.One of the main things your buying is the insurance company paying for you defense if there is a lawsuit,,,so get an umbrella,,,if you own rentals and don't have one your asking for trouble.

If the lawsuit was over and beyond the insurance policy (which $330k insurance is NEVER enough, and the easiest, most cost effective liability protection is adequate insurance protection) the suing party would have no "equity" in the LLC to go after.Each person should do what is comfortable to them, but making a blanket statement that each property should be in it's own entity is just guru nonsense.

If you do not want to list an address where you can be reached, then you'll have to pay somebody else (or beg a friend) to use their address and they are then authorized to be be served with a lawsuit on your behalf.For marketing purposes, a virtual physical address is appropriate.
