I have a mix use building in CT. the ground floor tenant is a bar/restaurant that recently moved in. they got a $2M General liability insurance and is asking if that's enough. or if they should get an umbrella. the property is valued at around $700k, fyi. where can i read up on best practices for such a case?

If you have any experience with this, please let me know how much your investor insurance is for Florida on a vacant house.  

Granted it does not always have the greatest benefits but based on your situation I believe doing that is better than the liquor license issue.

Years ago, I could file claims for small, even minimal, damages on my rental properties, like a few fence pieces blown off during a storm.

I would do some research on it, especially talking with other hosts who have done it.
