(I had to do that when Countrywide said no but in fact, after I finally found out who the investor was and actually talked on the phone with them, I got approval for $7000.)Also, make sure they state in the approval letters that it is paid as agreed and nothing else is due.But I agree with Tom that you should try to turn it into a rental if you don't want to live there anymore.

Oliver,To echo Jon's points, the short sale will prevent you from obtaining a fannie mae loan for a minimum of two years while a foreclosure will result in a five year wait before you are eligible for a FM loan.However, I doubt that the failure of WaMu will significantly impact your ability to sell short.

There was a contractor that used to live next door to my friend that inspired the remodel - new kitchen and added horizontal square footage.Plans from the architect were drafted, turned into the city planner's for review, Comments were made, Architect corrected and then neglected - architect let them sit in his office for 5 months, finally turned back in and then the planning department moved and lost the plans.
