As we are almost empty-nesters we are moving to Savannah to grow our portfolio in the warmer weather and closer to the ocean.

@Jayson Greenblatt  Rent do vary, we are mostly in A & B areas, maybe a few C+, we aren't looking in D or E areas.

Examples - owner occupied loans for house hackers, specific market knowledge (ie - friend of mine that ice fishes and bought a short term rental cabin in an ice fishing spot that you and I would never know of), ability to do renovation on your own or cheap, contacts with local companies or organizations that would be a tenant source for mid term rentals, ways to source off market deals, etc.Whatever it is, figure that out and get started.

We are always chipping away and doing our best.

Our home is situated within a gated and secure development that is a short 25 minute walk to the center of SMA, the heart of the city.

Now, we are ready for the next step and looking for a property in our city to house hack.

I will keep one for myself and rent out the rest 3 of them, either long-term or short-term. 

We charge oversight fees if the project is outside the scope of normal wear and tear. 

I’m interested in wholesaling & subject to start off than would like to transition into house hacking, short-term rental etc. 

Part of the survey was asking locals if they should be allowed to be rented short term.
