Suppose this real estate agent makes a GCI of $150k in year 2, but desires to keep the salary level at $40k, wouldn't it be the right strategy to increase your expenses that will build your company assets (like better systems, marketing, computer equipments, better techonology, website, education. etc.) so that you can still net $100,000 like year 1 with a higher GCI?

I think the wordpress route for a website is a fine idea because it has the all-in-one seo pack plugin, but it requires a little computer know how or have the patience to follow a ton of direction.

It's a good useful deduction, but not some magical freebie.You can also use the simplified $5/sq ft method for your storage area.By the way, equipment such as computers or office furniture have nothing to do with home office deduction.
