I agree that it's a shame to remove slate though because it's such a beautiful roof surface that is extremely resistant to the rough New England weather: wind, hail, freeze/thaw cycles and even fire resistant which is why it is valuable (that and a new slate roof is ridiculously expensive).

As a reasonably cynical person, I am forced to assume that a dip in my state income tax bill will be correlated with a hike in my grandma's property taxes, possibly delayed a legislative cycle or two, but it would happen nonetheless.

Make sure everyone knows anyone in the place over the age of 18 needs to apply.Along with filling out the application have the applicants provide proof of income (copies of paystubs, etc) and a copy/picture of their state ID or drivers license.Once you have all of their applications and supporting docs then run their applications through a background check system that will give you their complete credit, criminal, and eviction history for each applicant.

I believe from background check, proof of income, and over all appearance the applicants are being catiouse and do not want to jeopardize their parents visa.
