This wasn't super surprising to me as I realize how expensive real estate gets in the city, however it was still somewhat disappointing as my ideal plan was to purchase at least a duplex and rent out the one half of it.Given the position that I'm in (recent college grad/young professional who works in the city), what would you guys and girls recommend that I do?  

If your sink broke and you replaced it, sure you could expense it or now just add a sink, or washer, or lamp to your depreciation schedule. but this was a full renovation and with the new tangible property regulations they've gotten pretty finicky about these things.

My biggest regret (now) is that I don’t own it today but (then) it almost broke me and I was so relieved when I got out of it.

Beige just looked dirty, just as some would say gray looks depressing.I was just at Lowes paint section yesterday, and some little girl said she like gray.

She makes sure the girls stay sober.

Not much gets moderated on that site.. and of course you take boys and girls that basically have all made it to some degree in Life and they are pretty smart very successful etc etc and they have some real opinions on all sorts of subjects...
