Pulling money from a retirement account and paying penalties is almost never a good idea.

I am by no means proposing this, but just as Medicare premiums, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from retirement accounts, and contribution limits for IRA/401k accounts are adjusted for inflation, would it be fair to suggest that rent increases could follow a similar model to ensure that both landlords and tenants are treated equitably?

Retirement accounts are just a tool.

People are no longer expecting to retire from cashflow on a property. 

I'm looking to generate wealth that will allow me to retire as early as I can; however, I'm looking for something that is as passive as possible as my current business is very time consuming. 

I am currently retired and just purchased my 1st duplex in Upstate NY using a conventional investment property loan.
