I would say it depends on the market.We had converted a 88 unit hotel into MTR for corporate housing in a market with a lot of job growth.

Using a Self-Directed IRA (SDIRA) allows pre-tax dollars to grow tax-deferred in real estate, but limits flexibility due to IRS rules and potential UBIT on leveraged properties.Investing through a Roth IRA offers tax-free growth and no RMDs, but funding limits and restrictions apply.

I've never even been to Texas and I can seen the appreciation and economic growth - might need to take a trip there  The Texas property tax sales comment is specific to Texas.  

It will likely be good long term due to proximity to DFW area, growth that direction and a diversified economy.

It's more about steady content and natural growth once you nail the basics like keyword integration and technical optimizations.

However, for long-term growth and asset protection, an LLC could be worth considering.

Reasonable prices, lots of room for STR growth. 

That said, they've gone through some huge growth over the last couple years and maybe they're having some growing pains? 

Looks like that is happening in less then a year but in reality I will most likely cycle the money back into the business, it is doing to well to want to pull money out that could be used to grow the business.

Splitting your money is a great way to accelerate growth in cash flow and appreciation.
