I have been trying to find if there is a wall assembly material that can act as stuctural, shear strength, insulative, interior surface and exterior surface.

How do the course material help you?

The book references these materials quite often, and I don't see a way to get it unless it was purchased from the BP website.

Looks like one valley + five stacks/vents to flash = materials about $80.  130 ft of drip edge flashing at $50.  2 coils of nails at $60.  

I’m considering using materials such as wood, PVC, conduit, or metal pipes, combined with canvas, tarp, or plastic for the covering.

We've seen a lot of fraudulant materials come through over the past several years. 

I put in really high end materials on this one, brought in subs to check every single corner of the house and overall did a really good rehab (At least this was the feedback everyone left).

Bars will be on the windows (crime reference above).Don't be surprised if your cheap purchase costs that much or more to repair as your repair costs will be much higher than a home built with more modern materials, such as in the 1940s-1950s.
