Unless all of your competition is providing this and it is essentially a defacto requirement in your area in order to rent a unit, there's just too many things that can cause problems (legally and otherwise).From a technical perspective, I do networking and server administration for a living and I would be complaining as well especially as I'm assuming your lease doesn't say "internet is for school related usage only."

So now you're paying annual business filing fees in at least two states and have two annual reports.Unless there is a legal reason for you to organize the LLC in another state, based on your facts and circumstances its best to organize the LLC in California from an administrative and compliance perspective, as you're not going to be able to avoid the CA $800 annual LLC tax, nor the CA Form 568 obligation either way.

From my experience it's only been able to happen at closing but again, that's my experience.Here are some ways you can establish your LLC since you already have the property.1) Have all rents and expenses (mortgages, etc.) paid out of that to show money coming in/out.2) Get a CC under the business name and use it to pay for all business administrative and random RE costs.3) Get a "Corporate Account" with someone like The Home Depot.

In order to only pay Indiana state income tax and not CA, we were going to create an administrative management company to operate it in CA that would handle our CA employees/office/ marketing operations, etc... but it looks like there were some changes to nexus laws that focus on point of sale to source the business.
