I had a lot of luck with ASI ASI and Safeco early in my journey, and then I stumbled upon a different class of insurance companies that are more geared towards investment properties.My policies are currently underwritten by SES and they have been great to work with and very geared towards the investor.My insurance agent is a sage source of counsel on the subject and I bet he'd be a good resource for you if needed!

An agent cant do analysis for you, and I never encourage you use someone elses #'s, but you can at least get info from every source possible.

That said, there needs to be a filtering of rent by the room and midterm rentals because I think they are often conflated and the rental pricing data is very different for the two sources.

@Landon Lehmann many investors borrow against their primary residence equity to invest.Getting a HELOC can also be the path of least resistance and cheapest.There is risk though, that if you investment results in a loss or lawsuit that you could lose some or all of that money and more (lawsuit).Getting more insurance is typically easier than setting up an LLC and meeting all the requirements to separate your business from your personal assets.What are you doing to source potential flip properties?
