Once you have a call or letter from an attorney because the nice rottweiler that you played with for 3 minutes during the screening process has chewed up little Johnny down stairs or more likely little Johnny's annoying cat, it will not matter how gentle you perceived this rottweiler to be.

Analysis paralysis - don't doubt the numbers, have a strategy if the numbers fit the box pull the trigger - they either do or do not fit your strategy - don't over analyze, if you need to massage something its not your deal it doesn't work -

I would suggest gently asking the inspector (or his boss) to please direct you to the area of the building code that requires the housewrap, so that you can better learn the code for the future.
