Just having a power team of cleaners, handyman, electrician, plumber, etc should cover your needs.

If you outsource your maintenance, the key will be having a good network of easy to deal with service people such as Handymen, Plumbers, Electricians etc.

It helps to have a large network of contractors (either a trusty GC to handle the whole project or you need each individual sub... painters, tile folks, electrician, plumber, etc.) for homes that need a lot of rehab and that can be hard to find from a distance.

I can find 20 wholesalers easier than I can find a skilled plumber, electrician or framer. 

If you do decide to do the bathroom remodel, you're going to need a good team to do it, make sure to at least have the plumber and electrician licensed as you don't want to mess that up.
