Did you go after the traditional absentee owners or high equity lists?

If possible your best option will probably be traditional financing as it is generally the cheapest and the least complicated.

It depends on what you want, if you want to be almost 100% independent and earn the max commission a cloud broker might be best if you need guidance and/ or leads and are willing to give on commission for it a more traditional option may be a better fit.

It is a slower game but is fairly safe and provides you a place to live, build equity and learn to be a landlord since the tenant is next door.NOTE: You can refinance the duplex and get out of FHA financing later

So you now need more skin in the game with guarantees of the lease,rental increases,etc. as it affects a larger portion of the building now.No legal advice given. 

Since you have experience in the region, would you say that potential tenants seek out MFH (2/3/4-plex) rentals over traditional , largeapartment complexes or SFH rentals?

Currently in the fix and flip game but looking to transition over into buy and hold once I’ve built the capital.

Not quite into the flipping game yet, but also not investing in the state where I live so logistically I think I have more work to do before I can line up anything other than buy & hold.
