@Trenton VandeGuchte Try reading 30 Day Stay, I listened to the audiobook and found it very helpful as I'm thinking about doing the same thing you are.Are you planning to rent a room or is this a multifamily building where you'd rent a unit?

I will be looking to hire someone to run this business for me and they will be able to live in the house as part of their compensation.My goal is to renovate the rooms and cabins and expand by adding more year-round cabins designed for longer stays. 

But there may be some opportunities to pick up cash bargains or do a buyer lease back to someone who wants to stay but maybe can't afford the assessment coming up if you absorb it. 

I do not believe the economy is as rosy as it appears, so the rates can't stay the same and trend up/down a little.
