With the Stock and crypto market already falling a lot YTD, im not to sure if right now is the best time to be buying real estate, I may be wrong though, I was planning on buying a home somewhere in Ottawa the beginning of this year, either a single family or condo, im only 20 though, so I do not have any skin in the game, so if anyone with more experience than myself can pitch in, that would be great.

Most lenders would want to see experience and track record to remove your need for skin in the game.

Your skin should not matter.

Wise, but keep in mind that there's more than one way to skin a cat.  

My parents taught me about traditional investing and I am thankful for that, but WOW there are so many ways to skin a snake! 

They have more skin in the game then you do.Make sure you get clear title.

The hard money lenders that I've worked with in Houston have required you to have some skin in the game even if they're willing to lend almost 100%.

On the other hand, someone who is single or simply without kids may be ok renting and building wealth through investments.... 1,000 ways to skin this cat.  

I've also considered the idea of rehabbing the place while I lived there so that increases my partnership value.Theoretically would anyone find value in this trade off to get a lower down payment and have an unlicensed  "contractor" with skin in the game and a personal desire to do a good job rehabbing?
