@Amanda DolanIf you have found a property that you might be interested in, go to "Property search-nyc.gov"...you type in the borough and the street address of the property and you'll be able to see the taxes owed, but most importantly, you'll see the owner's name and if the owner doesn't live there it may have the owner's actual address as well.

I know the question I just asked may sound dumb but I am interested in knowing your thoughts.Secondly, when I go see the property for the first time, do you recommend I have a contractor come with me and if so does this mean I need to get the contractor before calling about the home, or is the contractor supposed to come with me later down the line of agreement to purchase the home.
