@Adam York most major or local areas have a Facebook groups dedicated to finding a roommate or even an apartments so if your price range is within someone budget of finding a roommate u can subject your rental.

The permanent roommate is ok (not stellar) so far no complaints on him and only one complaint by him of a bathroom hog, I would say you have a different clientele in renting a room with a shared bath.

The credit check gives you their payment/debt history from the past 24 months, and the background check gives high-level crime, previous address, etc. information.I supplement this with a thorough interview (I'm house-hacking and will have to live with these people though), and call their previous landlords/references/roommates to confirm that what they've told me is true.
