I was wondering if anyone had any book recommendations on how to  buy a business and/or how to start a business.

Hello,  I'm an investor, less than five properties and growing.

I recommend you spend some time searching for advice in the forums or around the internet and learn how to manage roommates.

This town is very small in population (population trend not growing) although has a community college that is less than half mile walking distance from ANY of the properties (community college population is growing at WELL above avg rate(dorm rate 850mth))

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good property manager in Wilkes Barre, PA?

I'd recommend connecting with an agent and also contact a lender.

Is there a way to see online what areas are growing ?

I now own two SFHs and three MFHs (all out of state) and am continuing to grow my portfolio.

This way, you get good cash flow but still keep some money free for more chances to grow your money.
