If the broker is a Real Estate friendly broker with lots of clients then there's nothing to lose in askingRegarding equity and your role in a partnership- All of that should be defined in the agreement.

We pivoted to using my license to offer on behalf of these other buyers and represent them in the transaction, and only attempt to buy deals produced by our own marketing and relationships (wholesalers and agents - pre listing).

We should play much more of an advisory role rather than that of a salesperson.

You can change your mind in the future (and a lot of investors often shift and pivot later) but creating a focus now will help you get started and actually buy some deals.
