I would carefully look at what kind of renovation you want to do.

So we have bought properties that are really well taken care of by a long term owner and need minimal work before being put in service.

Im assuming most players involved in deals in your area are seasoned professionals.

@Griffin Malcolm  Remember this , Professional contractors are not sitting around waiting for the phone to ring so they can work .

I've seen professional property managers get stuck with a tenant that hasn't paid rent or allowed an inspection in three years.

No one in my experience leasing condos ever cared who owned and who didn't, it doesn't seem to be of any concern in MA.

Despite new reporting requirements, such as those imposed by FinCEN, it's still possible to achieve a degree of anonymity with careful planning and the proper jurisdiction.

You will need to disburse funds annually to each property LLC - but if they are all single-member LLCs this may not be required and only the PM LLC will need a bank account, etc.This is not legal or tax advice, so be sure to check with tax attorney and/or tax professional.
