As stated earlier in the thread, you can self manage your own rentals.

It always depends on what kind of investing you want to get involved in and assets you have to work with that are liquid or can be made liquid like a 401k transferred into a self-directed IRA for example.

Maybe find a local private lender (self-directed retirement account) that will lend with not much underwriting.

Since you are self employed a Solo 401k  is a great advantage vs an IRA.

Good Evening, I have run into the roadblock of trying to find a bank that will open up an business account - with an LLC that is owned by a self directed retirement account. 

Too many new, and experienced agents, spread them self too thin and are mediocre at a lot of different things.
