Edit: If you're worried about incentivizing the other kids to throw rocks so you'll give them money to stop, I think that's taking it a bit far, but you could ask the kids to make sure nobody else throws rocks as well when you pay them initially.

So they simply amended the end date on the lease and initialed( both parties)to make the end date end in a month.
