This is what I'm looking at doing with my investors, as I'm already doing it in other Latin American countries.

I use Progressive (American Stratigic Insurance) and have had 2 claims so far for roof replacement due to storm damage.  

Only 4% of Americans own 2...so you are half way there!  

Me: Slacks, button up shirt, tie.Folks that want to buy homes: (queue British accent) While I truly do appreciate the power cleavage dear madam, or the fact that a plumber takes the time to own/maintain a suit good sir, (queue American accent) the fact is that it's not going to change your credit/income/asset situation, so don't bother dressing fancily to talk to a lender.

If you want an appraiser, Stephen Shehata, the owner of American Grid, is great.

The muscle memory of working all the time (the american way) seems tough to unlearn. 

@Mark Brennan I have had really good luck with some refurbished ones in my area and have also used American freight where you can get a slightly dented fridge for about 400- then get a warranty for 5 years for an extra 150.

In California we work on a lot of escrows with escrow then title as both separate entities, my take with this one would be to go to a First American or a Chicago Title that knows both ends along with having large staff to navigate these transactions. 

Has anyone had any interaction with the American Apartment Owners Association?  

I also tried to add my newest properties (insured thru American Modern) to my Allstate umbrella - another "no".
