Even though I have been educating myself since 2009 by reading books and blogs, watching webinars and tv shows, listening to podcasts and having hands on experience in the RE world (I co-own a reno company and am a mortgage loan officer (as well as a personal finances advisor)), I believe that we should never stop learning and sharpening our skills.

Local banks know you and your situation and if there is something negative on your credit that would force BofA to deny your loan application, you could likely have a conversation with the underwriter of your local bank and they may give you the loan.
