I believe that granite when wet will create a huge "slip and fall" problem... so if you decide to go that route... make sure you have plenty of liability insurance.Best of luck!

@Rolanda Eldridge i think i will have to go that route. i just hope to find a portfolio lender that will refi as soon as possible. or at lease offer a lower interest rate.

I'd make sure there was no mold anywhere (different route) and then when it was dry enough, I'd use Drylok Extreme.
