Yes it's sad, but I wonder if out of the ashes comes a new opportunity for experienced investors can connect and network without the BS.I do still think there is value in the site. 

Investing internationally is a huge opportunity, especially now that the US model based on cheap debt is kinda broken, but investors need to know what they're doing or they need to work with people who know what they're doing.

I am not a real estate investor by any means, but was referred to Bigger Pockets by a friend of mine due to an interesting real estate opportunity I may have in front of me.  

My next steps are to start building my team and networking. 

If you want to skip to the head of the class and save a year or two and possibly keep from losing capital and missing opportunities, you go with a coach that does what you want to do.

If this is a broker I would see if they can check any other lenders that they have in their network that could give you a better rate/term on the loan (they can check their database pretty quick).
