Unfortunately, I do own investment properties abroad that are still financed, so any lender that has experience with this would be much appreciated, the lack of experience in that regard has been a painful, and long underwriting process at first when I bought and then again when I refinanced my home a few years ago...

Having trouble analyzing this deal as there are so many variables and I do not have the experiencing analyzing deals to make me feel comfortable taking the risk.Purchase price of the land would be $250,000 not including closing cost or fees, and construction for a new 3/2 home with an attached 1/1 ADU is estimated to cost around $300,000 - $400,000 finished.

A question I have been pondering within myself for some time and figured here would be a good place to get an answer.I currently own a home that has close to 100k in equity in it, we plan to move in 3-5 years to our long term house and would be sizing up a fair amount. So my question is should I use the equity to fund investments/projects, or should I save it and roll it all into my next house so I can have it paid off sooner/lower my monthly.
