I moved out here for a job in technology consulting and am currently renting an apartment in the Washington/Heights area.I have been following BiggerPockets for about 6 months now, reading many articles and listening to the podcast and have finally decided to get involved in the forums.I am a newbie to real estate investing as I have not yet had any deals apart from being a renter but am looking to purchase a property before August ends and be able to move out of my apartment and, ideally, house-hack my property for a year or two.

You can set up all the incentives and liquidated damages you want but most don't even read the contracts.We work primarily here in Chicago and are taking a new approach to the general contracting world, by implementing as much technology and automation around the communication process as possible.

That was from 2019 and was the 16 county metro area.Star Trib recently had an article in Nov 2020 stating vacancy rates in the Twin Cities were 3.6%, and downtown Minneapolis has vacancy rates at 11.1%.
