We got notice the week of settlement that buyer couldn't locate his DD214 (lender never notified us and even sent us buyer's conditional mortgage commitment that made no mention about a DD214) Obviously we were beyond upset, however, the time and resources we would have had to utilize to "correct" this(i.e. small claims, fight to hold escrow deposit, etc) would have unfortunately been a waste of time.

Weber can do nothing .. he can spend money ( not very wise in my mind because he loses most likely and will just be out money for nothing as he bought second) or he can cooperate .. and maybe get a little money to do so.. its a negotiations.. but as us little guys we are not going to fight the big boys its just some little problem then have legal fix.

I could understand variance with even +/- 10%, but 22% seems malicious to me.My agent said I can either bow out and try to fight for my earnest deposit or try to lobby for a reassessment but some internet research tells me that sellers usually tell buyers to f-- off.
