Fair enough.I am sickened when I see the predators out there who have TV shows on A&E and HGTV partnering with scam "education" companies. 

I see that the author chose probably the most heart-wrenching example he could find to make his point.The story would have fallen apart if he had written about the family that bought a $4000 TV and therefore couldn't pay the rent.Of the Section 8 housing people I have had as renters, I had one that managed their household well. 

They are simply pulling solds and not looking at whether they are comparing apples to apples.  

I do like that idea.I was already thinking of including a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall to give it an edge (it's a trend that student rentals include one in the area).Do you usually include all the utilities in one bill?

And on a apples to apples comparison home prices may be lower in 2011 due to the fact that the "average" home size has increased so much.   

It would have trumped any house you see on TV.
