Am in agreement with @Theresa Harris ... rents should be raised, if not to market rate, to at least cover the mortgage and real estate taxes and HOA expenses. 

I hope it also sheds a light on some of the challenges faced in real estate.

Folks,Just wanted to give everybody a heads up on what can happen with online crowdfunding real estate sites.I have invested with Fund That Flip (FTF) for the past 2 years. 

@Renee Jones not sure how much you need but if you have equity in your home or another piece of real estate you could tap that.
