I wanted to steer clear of STR because all the AirBnB laws keep changing, and with economic slow down and layoffs in tech sectors which is an area of extreme disposable income to travel etc, it just feels like the wrong time for me personally to invest in an area where discretionary travel is likely to be the first to go from people's budgets as they tighten their household budgets.

So if you hire out for repairs expect to pay a little more or at the very least a harder time finding a repair tech who will work on them.    

The thing is that we are talking crazy tech money that people are able to throw around.

Your economy is so tied to debt and tech sector speculation.

The rest of it is hiring good cleaners and repair techs. 

It is high tech impressive wages that bumped the home prices up.

Good year and first energy are both fortune 500 companies. that said without a higher degrees upward mobility is hard in healthcare or education. they do employee people with a GED and need to get lunch or take out trash play golf what ever it will be. so no i do not think the jobs are lacking but mobility is hard and they are not sprouting up new tech companies its a place where you move to take a promotion or you worked where your father worked.

At this point, just searching for answers, I'm working closely with a rehabber whose is successful in it but not tech/computer savvy.
