It would be hard to make a decision on a purchase if I cannot physically view the property myself. 

I bought a tear down house (VA loan) but the property has a million dollar view. 

Going to view the property today and then make the offer.

I would of course appreciate links to forum posts/podcasts, as those are helpful to some degree, but as far as practical advice, what are some steps I should follow after I have found, viewed and inspected a potential property?

Also it isnt as hard to find this if you have a long term view, meaning that you are planning on future rent rises combined with future refinances to bring your payment down.  

Find those people with similar views and learn from their past and go to these people for advice.  

From my cursory viewing, the section called "Transaction Summary" somewhat resembles the HUD-1 form, so if you want something familiar looking, look at that. 

Just looking for honest views.
