When you own property in an IRA you retain 100% control, but there are certain limitations that you need to be aware of.

Just seeking advice on the best way to approach such an idea.

In that I would not own the home in my name (the trust would) under those assumptions.Is this even a reasonable strategy to jump start a real estate investment portfolio, any alternative ideas are welcome.I hope I have stated this with enough clarity, Please let me know if additional information is required to answer the question.

If budget is tight or space is limited, a traditional tank heater could be a more straightforward choice.

If the land value is very high, it can limit your tax benefits and cash flow with cost segregation.

While some sellers may not be agreeable to this idea, you might find that many are quite open to it.
