At $150k you can no longer deduct and those losses flow forward. 

I don't mind not cash flowing while I live in the unit my goal is def to cash flow when I move out though.

Hey Yinka, I've talked to a lot of folks in Toronto that invest in Detroit.It's pretty accessible from Toronto, has great cash flow, and there's a ton of investment and revitalization efforts.

I like to look at cash flow, if I have debt on the property and my rent can cover my mortgage, taxes and insurance for the near future I am very happy!
